Who we are

Cincinnati Home Repair and Remodeling, founded in 2020 by Travis Moyers and brother-in-law Alex Newsted, began as a house flipping business in the Greater Cincinnati Metro area. As we renovated properties, we saw firsthand how many local contractors relied on subcontractors, delivered inconsistent quality, communicated poorly with homeowners, and weren’t upfront about pricing.

We knew we could do better.

That’s why we opened up our services to residential customers — bringing the same high standards, clear communication, and hands-on approach we used in our own projects. From the start, we’ve operated with one simple rule: no subcontractors, no surprises. Just quality work done right.

Today, we specialize in deck and porch work, wood rot repair, drywall, flooring, framing, and full interior remodeling. Whether we’re restoring a structure or refreshing a space, we treat every project like it’s our own — with craftsmanship, care, and integrity.

Do we Use Subcontractors?

Absolutely not. Any one that shows up to your house, sent by us is a CHRR employee.

What discounts do you offer?

CHRR offers a cash and check discount of 3%. We also offer 5% off for customers that leave a review at the end of the project.

Why do you charge for estimates?

Why We Charge a Service Fee for In-Person Estimates

At CHRR, we believe in transparency from the start. That’s why we charge a one-time, upfront fee of $75 for in-person estimates. If you choose to move forward with the project, this amount is credited toward your final invoice — no extra cost to you.

Why Not “Free” Estimates?

Many companies advertise “free” estimates — but the truth is, they’re rarely free. The cost of time, travel, and overhead doesn’t disappear; it’s often buried in the final price of the project. That means customers who say “yes” are unknowingly covering the cost for those who said “no.”

We don’t think that’s fair.

At CHRR, we keep our pricing honest and direct. By charging a small fee for in-person estimates, we’re able to maintain the quality and integrity of our work without inflating costs for loyal customers.
